Portsmouth panel to continue review into potential re-structure of community safety service

ANOTHER meeting is to be held about ways of saving public money in Portsmouth.

The council’s traffic, environment and community safety scrutiny panel is currently carrying out a review into how community safety workers can better work together in order to reduce the cost and demand for ‘intensive specialist services’ that work with people with complex needs.

The panel will listen to evidence from Portsmouth Tory community safety boss Rob New and Jo York, of Portsmouth Clinical Commissioning Group, to help form its review at a debate on February 16.
