CITY MP Mike Hancock has begun carrying out parliamentary work again – despite still being in hospital.

The Portsmouth South MP’s parliamentary spokesman confirmed yesterday he was now starting to take on inquiries from constituents.

But he is still being treated at the Priory Hospital in Marchwood, where he has been since February recovering from depression. Mr Hancock last month admitted to forging an ‘inappropriate friendship’ with a female constituent and calls have been made for him to stand down in light of his confession.
