A PUBLIC inquiry will decide whether a village can be expanded into the countryside.

Following an appeal by developers Southcott, a government inspector will hear the evidence at a public inquiry about whether 38 homes can be built off Lovedean Lane, Lovedean.

Councillors at East Hampshire District Council refused the proposals at a planning meeting in October over concerns it was ‘overbearing’.
