COUNCIL tax has been frozen for Havant households.

After the Hampshire County Council, Hampshire Police Authority and Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service precepts were agreed it means a Band D property will pay £1,438.29 in the forthcoming financial year.

Councillor Tony Briggs, leader of Havant Borough Council, said: ‘I believe continued increase in council tax is unsustainable given the present economic state of the country.’
