Reduced speed limits on the way for East Hampshire

REDUCED speed limits could be on the way for East Hampshire.

Hampshire County Council is proposing to reduce the speed limit on a number of roads in Clanfield, Horndean and Lovedean.

The roads that could have 30mph zones for Clanfield are: Downhouse Road between its junction with Drift Road/South Lane; South Lane between its junction with Chalton Lane and its junction with Drift Road; Drift Road between its junction with South Lane/Downhouse Lane and its junction with London Road; Hilltop Gardens for its entire length; London Road between its junction with Drift Road and a point 63 metres south of its junction with Hilltop Gardens; and London Road between its junction with A3 slip road/A3 London Road/Downwood Way and a point 29 metres north of its junction with London Road Service Road.

Limits of 40mph are planned for stretches of Downhouse Road and Lovedean Lane, Hinton Manor Lane and Roads Hill. A copy of the notice is available at Horndean library.
