A PERFORMANCE review of highways in West Sussex has been produced.

The first annual West Sussex Highways Performance Report is available for the public.

West Sussex County Council and highways maintenance partner Balfour Beatty have produced the report which looks at 2014/15.

It is the first of its kind produced in the county and details the diverse work carried out on the highway.

Topics include:

n major road repair projects

n pothole repairs

n bridge repairs

n staff training

n community initiatives.

The report will become an annual publication at the end of each financial year.

Cabinet member for highways and transport, John O’Brien, said: ‘We want to be open and honest with our customers about how we perform, and what we’re achieving.’
