PUPILS at two schools will all receive dictionaries after a series of grants.

Whiteley Rotary Club has received £400 from Fareham Borough Council’s community fund towards providing all 200 year six pupils at Whiteley and Sarisbury Green Schools with an Usborne Dictionary 4 Life.

Council leader, councillor Sean Woodward said: ‘By using these dictionaries it will help children with their schoolwork in secondary education and could help to improve their vocabulary.’

The project costs £1,400, with £400 from Hampshire County Council and £600 from the club’s own fundraising.
