RESIDENTS can have their say on changes to a plan for a 6,000-home new town planned for north of Fareham.
Fareham Borough Council is asking residents to take part in a consultation on changes it has made to its plan for Welborne.
The changes, known as main modifications, were suggested by independent inspector David Hogger, during his initial examination of the plan last year.
Executive member for planning Keith Evans said: ‘The changes relate to issues such as transport, affordable housing, the environment, energy efficiency and the locations of the secondary school and recycling centre.
‘I would encourage anyone with an interest in these to take part in the consultation.’
All comments will be taken into account by Mr Hogger before he issues a final report outlining whether he finds the plan sound.
Take part in the consultation at fareham.gov.uk/consultations or at the Civic Offices before 5pm on Monday, March 9.
