THE MP for Fareham took part in a politics society meeting in Southsea.

St John’s College welcomed Mark Hoban to the school’s meeting.

He spoke about how the coalition government might be perceived at the next general election.

He also spoke about education and welfare reform.

Before the meeting took place, sixth form students had the opportunity to question Mr Hoban – and over refreshments he was asked about the EU, spending cuts and his life as an MP.

Mr Hoban also answered questions and audience members asked about independence for Scotland, the EU, employment policy and the future of education.
