Trainees' hard work pays off

NAVY trainees have given a pre-school's garden a makeover.

The naval airmen, based at Gosport's HMS Sultan, spent days cleaning and redecorating the garden at Gosport Opportunity Group in Phonenix Way.

Naval Airman (Survival Equipment) Georgia Clarke was one of the trainees who had volunteered to take part.

She said: '˜I haven't done much painting before, but it's really nice to see it all colourful.

'˜It's a really nice centre, the people here are really good with the children and it's got a real family feel about it all.

'˜Some of the children have come out to see what we're doing and it seems like we're making an impression.'
