TWO people were rescued after a 15-foot fishing boat overturned off the coast of Gosport.

A mayday call was made by another vessel at around 12.30pm on Saturday. The two people were found holding on to the boat in the water.

Gosport lifeboat attended the scene where the found the people clinging on to the upturned hull.

They were treated for mild hypothermia at the Gosport and Fareham Inshore Rescue Service base in Stokes Bay.
