TWO roads will have their speed limits reduced from 60mph to 30mph in a bid to tackle dangerous driving.

Officers at Hampshire County Council have decided to reduce the speed limits of Ranvilles Lane and Oakcroft Lane, both in Stubbington, near Fareham.

The new limits were welcomed by ward councillor Christopher Wood.

Cllr Wood said: ‘I am very pleased as one of the things I wanted to do was to make the roads in my ward safer.

‘These roads are totally unsuitable for the national speed limit. Ranvilles Lane is unlit and it is a very busy lane, reducing the speed is common sense.’
