UKIP is dividing its Fareham and Gosport branch after the next general election, according to the branch chairman John Bowles.

He said the group plans to split so it can focus on providing a better service to each towns’ residents.

Mr Bowles said: ‘Membership has grown and we are getting more applicants everyday so we will split into two.’

After May’s election there will be two constituency associations – one in Fareham and one in Gosport.
