Waspi women continue to raise awareness on pension inequality after meeting with MP

WOMEN campaigning against pension inequality are continuing their fight to raise awareness.

Members of the Solent branch of Women Against State Pension Inequality (Waspi) met with Portsmouth South MP Stephen Morgan.

They are campaigning after claims the government did not tell women about changes to their state pension which saw many receiving less money than expected.

The group holds events to inform women who could be affected and have been lobbying the government.

They met with Mr Morgan recently for a coffee to talk about any updates.

A spokeswoman from Solent Waspi said: '˜We are grateful for Mr Morgan's continued support to our efforts and willingness to help women affected by the change in state pension age.

'˜This event helped raise the profile and provide much-needed advice to women.'
