HAMPSHIRE County Council is to consider a draft of the Hampshire Minerals and Waste Plan at its next meeting on September 26.

The plan will consider future decisions on minerals or waste development and take into account its local impact. The draft will be finalised for publication at a meeting on October 13. Councillor Mel Kendal, executive member for environment and transport, said: ‘To not have a plan in place would leave Hampshire in a very vulnerable position as sites could be imposed on us arbitrarily by Government planning inspectors.’
