A CONSULTATION on possible new waste sites in West Sussex is to end next week.

Launched by West Sussex County Council, the consultation looks at possible sites for the treatment, sorting, recycling and disposal of waste.

Sites being considered include the fuel depot at Bognor Road, Chichester.

Councillor Lionel Barnard, deputy leader of the county council, said: ‘No matter how much we try to reduce the amount of waste we produce, sites are still required at which to sort, transfer, recycle, treat or dispose of the waste.’

The consultation ends on Monday.
