READERS of The News are being invited to seize the chance to quiz Brexit secretary Stephen Barclay.
Mr Barclay, who leads the Department for Exiting the European Union, will take questions submitted to The News.
It comes as MPs are set to take part in a meaningful vote in the House of Commons on the withdrawal agreement negotiated by Prime Minister Theresa May.
In a statement, Mr Barclay said: ‘Brexit is a huge issue for this country. We’re approaching a key moment in this process, where MPs will soon get to vote on the prime minister’s deal – a deal that delivers on the results of the referendum.
‘I’m keen to answer questions from The News' readers about what this means for them and for Portsmouth.’
Mrs May is facing a defeat in parliament over the terms of Britain’s departure after more than two years of negotiations since the referendum in June 2016.
