PORTSMOUTH Football Club’s best-known fan will be the guest speaker at a community meeting.

The Purbrook and Widley Area Residents Association will play host to John PFC Westwood, who is known for his outlandish outfits and ringing a bell during games.

He will discuss his double life as a a larger-than-life supporter and an antiquarian book dealer in Petersfield.

Also on the agenda for the meeting, on March 29, is Havant Borough Council’s allocation of potential housing sites up to 2026.

Meanwhile plans are being made for a barbecue by the association to celebrate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.

It will be held at the Hampshire Rose pub, London Road, Widley, on May 20 at £3. Tickets are £7 for adults and £3.50 for children. Non members are welcome as long as they pay the £3 annual joining fee. Tickets can be bought at the residents’ meeting which takes place at Deverell Hall, London Road, Purbrook, from 7.15pm.
