EMERGENCY services rallied to help a man in need of medical help.

A crew from South Central Ambulance Service was sent to check on a resident in Lucknow Street, Landport, Portsmouth, at about 9.50pm yesterday.

Southsea firefighters were called to break in as the man could not get up from the floor. He was then taken to an ambulance and sent to hospital to be checked over.
