COMEDY: On stage, Brian Blessed is known for his hearty-sized portions of comedy, eloquence and personality as he discusses his adventures and career. Tickets £28.50. Kings Theatre, Southsea, tonight, 7.30pm. 

GIG: Pale Waves are the modern quartet who know how to rock. This Manchester-born band offer a dazzling pop performance. Tickets £15.55. O2 Guildhall, Southampton, tonight, 7pm. 

ART: Discover Karl Hagedorn, a unjustly forgotten artist and what he called his ‘rhythmical expressions in line and colour’ in his first exhibition for 25 years. Pallant House Gallery, Chichester, today, 10am-5pm.
