ARTIST Candy Medusa will be exploring the impact plastic pollution has on the environment before turning her findings into an exhibition.

Candy, from Portsmouth, will be joining an all-women crew for the project named eXXpedition.

In March, she will be spending time at sea to learn about and research the affect plastic pollution has on the environment and the human body.

Then, when she returns, Candy will show her findings and the reasons behind the project in an exhibition.

She said: ‘I will run local workshops where people can learn about the problem of plastic pollution and create their own artwork on the theme to spread the word further.

‘On a global level I will be posting my art online to get the message across to as wide an audience as possible.’

To help with the expedition, Candy has set up a crowdfunding page and needs to reach the £4,000 target by January 17. For more information on
