Portsmouth police seize 100 wraps of crack and heroin in Southsea

Have your say

Creative writing has been a passion of mine since a young age, and coupled with a nosy nature, journalism seemed like the obvious choice.

I have lived in Southsea for 10 years now and know the area well, having attended Portsmouth High School before doing A-levels in French, History and English at Havant College.

This course is ideal for me as it combines learning with working, a cheaper and more vocational alternative to university. I still plan to go on to study French after this course as my aim is to be a bilingual and possibly international journalist.

Before choosing to study journalism, law interested me, so I really enjoy the law module we do, alongside shorthand and video production.

Shorthand is definitely the biggest challenge for everyone, as we have to be writing at 100 words per minute by January.

Outside the course, I enjoy playing guitar and riding motorbikes; I would love to travel all around the world on a motorbike.
