FIREFIGHTERS were called to tackle a bonfire next to a motorway in the early hours of Sunday.

A crew from Cosham were sent to the blaze in Tipner, close to the M275, northbound at 12.30am.

It took the crew 10 minutes to put it out.

There was no-one else present at the scene when the firefighters arrived.

No property was damaged and no-one was hurt.
