AN art space is to open its doors to the public for an annual event.

More than 40 members of Art Space Portsmouth are to take part in the Open Studios Weekend.

Visitors to the converted chapel in Southsea, are invited into 20 permanent artists’ studios and workshops.

They can also view art works on display in the Gallery Art Space Portsmouth exhibition space and around the building.

It is an opportunity to buy directly from artists and visitors can also meet this year’s Sponsored Studio award winner, Fareham-based artist, Alannah Barker, and enjoy refreshments in the Art Space urban garden.

Visit the open studios event in Brougham Road, Southsea, from 1.30pm to 4.30pm on Saturday and Sunday.
