Miss Portsmouth has missed out on the chance to become Miss England.
Sarah Archer came fourth in a public vote which sent the top three girls through to the final 20.
But the 17-year-old, from Eastney, who dreams of becoming a doctor, says she doesn't feel too down about missing out on the top spot.
She said: 'If it wasn't meant to be it wasn't meant to be.
'Being named Miss England would have given me more authority to help more people but now I'm just going to concentrate on trying to help the people of Portsmouth.'
Sarah is already a member of Portsmouth Youth Parliament.
The group is planning to officially launch later this year and will speak up for the needs of the youngsters who live in the city.
