PORTSMOUTH Lions Club is on the lookout for new members.

The organisation said it wants people who would be prepared to give up a small amount of their time and ‘be a part of a friendly club whose main aims are to continue to help those less fortunate then ourselves’.

The club will be running a membership drive on Saturday, August 18 taking place between 10am and 2.30pm at the Christchurch Milton United Reformed Church in Milton, which is on the corner of Edgeware Road.

The event will be in conjunction with its usual monthly book stall and table top sale.

Entry is free and all are welcome.

For more details contact David Oxford, who is membership chairman at the club by email doxford@hotmail.co.uk.

Or you can call him on (023) 9281 8904.
