Police have named a Portsmouth man as the victim of a road accident in north Hampshire

Twenty-two-year-old Tibor Darazs, originally from Hungary and living in Locksway Road, Milton, died in a collision in Grateley near Andover at the weekend

The white Mercedes sprinter van he was driving was in collision with a Mercedes car just after 2pm on Saturday

He was taken to Salisbury district hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

The 44-year-old woman driving the Mercedes suffered minor injuries.

A Hampshire Police spokesman said: ‘We are continuing our appeal for witnesses and would like to hear from anyone who saw the collision or either vehicle driving prior to it.

‘Anyone with information is asked to contact Sergeant Lyndon Barrett at the Whitchurch Roads Policing unit, quoting Operation Taupe, on 101.’
