Portsmouth Music Hub celebrate appointment of city's new mayor
A GROUP of young musicians helped to celebrate the appointment of the new Lord Mayor of Portsmouth.
Portsmouth Music Hub was part of the Mayor Making Ceremony at Portsmouth’s Guildhall. In front of the new Lord Mayor, Cllr David Fuller, the Music Hub brought together a hundred children from six primary schools to sing My Time, by Hub composer Iain Gilmour. Sue Beckett, CEO of Portsmouth Music Hub, said: ‘The children were very excited to be part of the ceremony, and they gave an unforgettable performance of a beautiful song which captured everyone’s heart and imagination.’
