PRINCE Harry was due to be taking part in a track day at Goodwood Motor Circuit today (Saturday, February 15) to raise awareness for his charity the Royal Foundation Endeavour Fund.

The prince was due to meet injured service personnel, including Endeavour Fund grantees, and join them driving classic cars at the Chichester motor circuit.

And reporter Amie Gordon will be tweeting regular updates live from the track, with further coverage of the event on our website later.

The Royal Foundation is using the track day to raise awareness of the Endeavour Fund, provide wounded injured and sick service personnel the opportunity to drive classic cars and to showcase some of the inspiring projects which have been supported by The Endeavour Fund so far.

Prince Harry will also view an exhibition of Endeavour Fund projects and visit the Goodwood’s Boultbee Flight Academy to launch a scholarship for wounded ex-service personnel.

He will meet Battle of Britain RAF pilots, view a Spitfire in the hangar and meet Boultbee’s Spitfire instructors.

The Endeavour Fund was created by the Royal Foundation of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry in 2011 to support the recovery of wounded, injured and sick servicemen and women.

See next week’s Chichester Observer (out Thursday, February 20) for our full feature of the event and all the pictures.
