TWO caravans have been were set alight in a suspected arson attack.

Southsea firefighters were called to Towpath Mead, in Eastney, Portsmouth, at around 6am.

They found two caravans parked side-by-side on fire – with one completely destroyed by the blaze.

The other was badly damaged and eight firefighters took around 30 minutes to put out the fire.

They have now handed the case over to Hampshire Constabulary who are investigating it as a suspected arson.
