Medics from Queen Alexandra Hospital will compete in a charity rugby match, raising money for a Fareham charity.

The team of QA staff will take on Portsmouth Rugby Club, in a rematch from last year, which saw the two sides battle it out for the Hope Cup.

Last year’s match raised £1,000 for Portsmouth Down Syndrome Association and they hope to collect even more for Charlie’s Beach Hut.

The charity helps provide families who have children with life-limiting illnesses with a relaxing and rejuvenating place to go on holiday.

The match will be played at the Rugby Camp, in Norway Road, on Saturday, September 5 at 1pm.

Entry to the game is free with a bouncy castle, food and face painting available.
