A HOSPITAL radio station has been handed £1,000.

Radio Haslar, based in Gosport and serving Gosport War Memorial Hospital, in Bury Road, was given the cash by Lloyds Bank Community Fund scheme.

It comes after members of the station collected £136.32 from generous people at the Gosport Christmas lights switch-on at the end of last month.
