THOUSANDS of chocolate Easter eggs have been collected to help worthy causes.

Over 2,000 eggs were donated to the Wave 105 Cash for Kids Easter egg appeal, worth £10,000. They were divided between social services, hospitals, women’s refuges and disadvantaged children’s centres.

Wave 105 charity manager Gloria Hill said: ‘We’ve once again been left astounded by the generosity of our listeners. The appeal reached many disadvantaged children in the south and made Easter that little bit more special for them.’
