Reading Festival will make its annual return in the summer of 2019, and the first wave of acts has just been announced - including some exciting headliners.
This festival proves popular each year with music-lovers of varying ages, with fans of the festival travelling from all over the UK, and even further afield, to attend the Richfield Avenue event.
Who are the headliners for Reading & Leeds 2019?
Both Reading and Leeds Festivals take place at the same time, with performers alternating over the two venues throughout the weekend.
Next year’s festival will take place between 23 and 25 August 2019, at the two traditional venues of Richfield Avenue (Reading) and Bramham Park (Leeds).
On BBC Radio 1 this morning (21 Nov), Greg James revealed that the four headliners for Reading & Leeds 2019 will be The 1975, Post Malone, Twenty One Pilots and Foo Fighters.
The 1975 will headline Reading on the Friday (23 Aug) and Leeds on the Saturday (24 Aug), while Foo Fighters will close Reading on Sunday (25 Aug) after performing at Leeds on the Friday.
Post Malone and Twenty One Pilots will co-headline at Reading on Saturday and in Leeds on the Sunday.
This will be the first time that The 1975, Post Malone and Twenty One Pilots will all top the bill at Reading & Leeds. Foo Fighters will headline the festival for the fourth time, after performing the top slots in 2002, 2005 and 2012.
Other acts announced
Alongside the four headliners, a number of other acts set to perform at Reading Festival have also been announced today.
Bastille, Pale Waves and The Distillers will be taking to the stage at Richfield Avenue, joined by other acts including:
