RUNNERS from recruitment firm elemense will brave the elements for a baby charity in this year’s Great South Run.

The 11-strong team from the Whiteley-based company aims to raise more than £2,000 for Friends of PICU, Southampton General Hospital’s paediatric intensive care unit.

Ed Whitehouse, Ashton Church, Tiwalola Otukpe, Lauren Barker, Gemma Lovejoy, Debbie Stock, Nathan Taylor, Natalie Allen, Alan Foot, Adrian Watson and Julia Groves will take part in the 10-mile challenge in Southsea on October 30. Managing director Peter Colliss said: ‘We’re extremely pleased that so many of our staff at elemense decided to take part in the Great South Run this year. With all their energy and desire to succeed in completing the run, I’ve no doubt they will rise to the challenge.

‘Friends of PICU is a truly worthwhile charity and we hope our continued support will contribute to providing the vital equipment and help that the children and their families need at the unit.’
