THE Woodland Trust is asking everyone to help it by putting old Christmas cards in collection bins available in most Marks & Spencer stores in Hampshire.

For every 1,000 cards recycled, the company will fund the planting of one tree.

Jo Mathieson, of the Woodland Trust said: ‘By recycling cards, you’re playing a key part in turning unwanted waste into much-needed trees.’

Drop-off points will be available in most stores from January 2 to January 31.
