COMMUNITY groups and charities have been urged to submit entries to win a redecoration makeover worth up to £10,000.

Groups have until December 11 to submit their entries to the Johnstone’s Trade Community Spirit competition.

Johnstone’s marketing manager Richard Mazurkiewicz said he wanted any community-minded group to apply.

He said: ‘We are delighted to be offering this fantastic opportunity for charities and community groups in Portsmouth and, with the deadline looming, now is the time to get your entry in.

‘There is no project too small - whether it be a rundown scout hut, a school in need of a makeover or a community centre requiring a lick of paint.

‘The only proviso is that the facility or group must provide a community benefit.’

The winner will be chosen by a public vote after top entries are shortlisted.

Entries can be made by completing an application form at johnstonestrade.com/communityspirit.
