Residents evacuated as kitchen fire breaks out
A KITCHEN fire sparked the evacuation of residents with learning difficulties at a specialist care unit in Havant yesterday.
The blaze started at the Mencap-run home in Bulbeck Road. Two fire crews from Havant and a third from Cosham tackled the emergency. Nobody was injured and an investigation has been launched into the cause of the incident, which began at 1pm.
