A MAN had to be rescued by firefighters after getting stuck in a window.

The man, in his 30s, had been out for the evening when he returned home to Opsrey Gardens, Lee-on-the-Solent, in the early hours of Saturday.

But as he forgot his key he tried to get in through a ground-floor window and became stuck.

Firefighters and an appliance from Gosport station attended at 2.30am and had to drill the hinges out of the window.

Earlier, a crew from Fareham station went to Portchester Crematorium at 9.35pm on Friday to a false alarm.
