Flamboyant Mr Joe Black and his House of Burlesque show rolled into the King’s Theatre and provided the audience with ever-lasting memories.
Aurora Galore, a stunning beauty who spun and toe tapped her way around the stage wearing just a sparkly pink bra and a feather boa, opened the spectacular show.
The highlights of the evening were the performances from international burlesque performer Betsy Rose. Oozing elegance and a playful manner, Betsy worked the stage and teased the audience right down to the trademark tassels. Dazzled by her jewels and extravagant headpieces, Betsy’s beautifully choreographed routines showed why she was chosen to work with fashion icons Dolce & Gabbana and Givenchy.
Tina Turner Tea Lady was a comical genius and proved you don’t have to take your clothes off to capture the audience’s attention. She was followed closely by powerhouse Coco Malone and double act Le Renn, circus artists who performed a Kill Bill act on a single aerial hoop.
Joe Black’s right-hand man Arran Shurvinton was the honorary male act. Dressed as his trademark spooky, monstrous character, Arran performed a witty rendition of Adele’s Hello.
