Review on potential new parish council in Fareham

POLL: Should headteachers ban mobile phones from their schools?

Have your say

A REVIEW has been set up in Fareham to decide whether a new parish council will be set up.

It has been arranged by Fareham Borough Council after it received a petition from 322 residents in the Funtley area, who wanted to see its introduction.

Now the authority will assess the impact the new council would have on its residents and determine how far the its powers would spread.

The council has set up a survey for residents to complete to get their opinions as to whether they believe it is worthwhile for a new parish council to be created.

It will be open until December 14, and the Community Action Team Meeting on November 24 will have the review as the main point on its agenda.
