Road closure in Gosport for underground pipe work

Southern Water is carrying out the work which will see Village Road, in Alverstoke, Gosport, closed at the junction with Paget Road.

Underground pipe-work at a wastewater pumping station in Village Road is being replaced in a project due to start on February 15. It is expected to be completed by February 19 with the road closed over the course of the project.

Work is being carried out on a 24-hour basis at the request of Hampshire County Council, to complete the work as quickly as possible.

Shops and businesses will be remaining open during the works.
