ROADS will be closed around Fareham for Remembrance Day services on Sunday.

Commemorations will take place in the town centre and Queens Road, Western Way, Kings Road, West Street and Hartlands Road will be closed from 9.30am to midday.

There will be a parade from the Duke of Connaught’s Own Club in Western Road to the memorial outside Holy Trinity Church. The mayor of Fareham, Councillor Mike Ford, said: ‘It’s so important that we remember those who served our nation and that we give our thanks for their bravery.

‘I hope that residents will join us on Remembrance Sunday to salute the servicemen and women who have fallen in the wars.’

Roads will also be closed for parades in Stubbington, Warsash and Sarisbury.
