Vehicle is burned out in Portsmouth car park blaze

PART of a road was blocked following a collision between two cars.

The accident happened in Beach Road, in Emsworth, at 12.45pm today.

Firefighters were called over fears the occupants of the two cars were trapped.

But they managed to free themselves before firefighters arrived.

One person was taken to Queen Alexandra Hospital, Cosham, by paramedics while the two passengers in the other vehicle were uninjured.

One side of Beach Road was closed for around 40 minutes.

No arrests were made and police are treating the incident as an accident.
