Roberts Centre celebrates 30 years of helping vulnerable Portsmouth families

THEY have helped thousands of vulnerable families through their service stretching decades.

And yesterday the Roberts Centre, in Landport, marked their 30th anniversary with a church service at Portsmouth Anglican Cathedral.

The centre was praised for its hard work and dedication by the Rt Rev Christopher Foster, bishop of Portsmouth.

A spokeswoman from the centre said: ‘This ceremony was about marking 30 years of providing support for homeless children and families.

‘We were celebrating the thousands of people who have given themselves to improve the lives of others.

‘Sadly we will be needed for many more years to come.’
