HIS record is so far 100 per cent accurate and England fans will be hoping it stays that way.

Rodney the shark has picked England to win against Costa Rica tonight in their final World Cup game.

So far, the zebra shark at the Blue Reef Aquarium in Southsea has correctly guessed that Italy and Uruguay would beat England.

But with the final group game tonight ‘Rodders’ has picked a Three Lions victory.

After both national flags were lowered into the tank, Rodney went straight for England picking them as his team to win.

He then went on to bite the Costa Rica flag which Jenna Macfarlane, the visitor services supervisor at the aquarium, interpreted as an unlucky goal England would concede.

She said: ‘Rodney clearly picked England to win but he then bit the Costa Rica flag.

‘We aren’t too sure what that means but we think they might score in a way that will upset England.

‘Maybe an own goal or penalty. But he has guessed England to win 2-1.’

Rodney will be looking to make it three out of three tonight and even with England crashing out the World Cup, he will still be asked to predict other scores in the tournament.
