DOG wardens are giving advice to postal workers on how to stay safe on their rounds.

As part of Dog Awareness Week, wardens from East Hampshire District Council are giving talks aimed at raising awareness about dog attacks and the need for responsible pet ownership.

The talk is based on the National Dog Warden Association booklet Keeping Safe Around Dogs, written by East Hampshire’s dog warden Dave Griffiths.

He said: ‘The booklet is being distributed around all staff who visit properties as part of their daily duties.’
