CHILDREN were given some Easter cheer with a visit from sailors who delivered some chocolate treats.

The teams of personnel from HMS Sultan, in Gosport, took part in the Easter egg bonanza and other activities.

All of the participants donated an Easter egg each.

It was then decided to offer these as a donation to children being cared for at Frimley Park Hospital, in Surrey.

Leading Physical Trainer Alex Stocker had nominated the hospital and along with several colleagues, donated the eggs.

Alex said: ‘Several years ago, my son was born prematurely.

‘He was in an incubator at the hospital for three months and throughout that time the staff were so good in everything that they did.

‘I have never forgotten the support received and ever since I’ve been really keen to recognise and support them.’

He added: ‘The Easter egg bonanza was a really good afternoon, which brought everyone together.

‘I was really pleased that everyone within the engineering establishment was so generous.’
