Sailors row into the record books
TWO dinghy sailors have clinched their place in the record books after they rowed from Plymouth to Portsmouth.
Petty Officer Phil Slade and navy veteran Mark Belamarich set a world record for the distance sailed in a two-man dinghy.
The duo completed the epic 355.88-mile journey over three days earlier this year in aid of the Royal Navy & Royal Marines Charity.
They were presented with their title by the Guinness Book of Records during a presentation yesterday in Plymouth.
