VOLUNTEERS are being sought to help with the Salvation Army’s Big Collection appeal.

The charity is looking for people willing to take part in collecting donations in Portsmouth, Southsea and Emsworth.

Their collection will take place in the first two weeks of September and all money brought in will go towards supporting less well-off people across the area.

Anyone interested in volunteering should call appeal organiser Trevor Sivyer on (023) 9224 1819.

He said: ‘We would be very grateful to anyone who wants to join our team and collect money to help those in need within our community.’
